Swimming Pool Our beautiful pool is our pride. Each unit has 1 parasol, 2 director’s chairs, 1 sun lounger and 1 little table. The pool is open from May until the end of October. The pool measures 12 x 6 meters and is accessed via Roman steps. For the safety of children, the pool at La Scuola di Furio is fenced. The self closing and self latching gate, which opens towards the outside, has the lock at its top, out of kids' reach. The fence is 1 meter high, with no foot or handrails for kids to climb on. Parking At La Scuola di Furio there is an outdoor parking, not far from the houses. Hammocks Various hammocks are spread around the park. Then tell us which is your favorite! Playground and soccer pitch For younger children we have a play area and CE certified UNI 14960, with two towers with a platform height of 1 meter. Climbing the net access and crossing the bridge trains the balance and coordination skills of the child. The towers are good places to hang out and the slide is a quick and easy way to come down. For young football players we have a pitch with two metal soccer goals. Playhouse and Tent With Tunnel Set Younger children wishing to play closer to the apartments and Villa Maura have a playhouse with enough room for several kids to play at the same timem with a real-house feel: open design with clear views, door mail slot, balcony and working door. Also a lighter tent with tunnel set is available (on not too windy days, though!). Late Check-out At La Scuola di Furio, we are a small holiday home, we always try to manage ourselves the best way possible. Thus, we ask that our guests leave the apartments before 10 AM. Should you need, maybe for an evening flight, to keep the apartment longer, just ask. If possible, we will be happy to accommodate you. Tours and excursions All right, it is true … We are surrounded by very interesting places to visit. And there are many questions that are common among our guests. Where and what time should we leave for excursions? What are the impossible to miss visits during a short stay? And, if we have more time, how should we spend it? Which site is the “direct” one (no extra fees) where to buy tickets for the Uffizi? In each apartment you will find our information binder full of maps, lists and information. Tiziana is a professional tour leader and environmental guide and will be happy to suggest you excursions or tours and to recommend authorised English-speaking professionals guides. Laundry At La Scuola di Furio we know that packing for a family for 7 or 14 days can be grueling. So there is a washing machine (complete with detergent pods offered by us, as well as the use of the washing machine itself), while in the house you will find a drying rack with pegs and a clothes basket. Bike Service If you are passionate about cycling, you will surely appreciate making beautiful excursions in our hills. We recently teamed with a local shop of a bike manufacturer nearby! Yes, they rent out, sell and even BUILD bikes! A few km from La Scuola di Furio you can rent road bikes, mountain bikes, hybrid bikes, electric bikes, children's bikes and helmets. If cycling is your sport and you don't want to miss your daily workout, ask for your favorite model, the renter is a true connoisseur, he has been producing bicycles for more than 80 years! Delivery directly to La Scuola di Furio is also possible. Advance Shopping What about an advance grocery shopping that is here waiting for you upon arrival? For a small fee, just send a detailed list of foods that you want to find in your kitchen, directly from the supermarket. Flowers, champagne or chocolates on arrival or during your stay For that special occasion, you can surprise your loved one with a bouquet of flowers or a bottle of sparkling wine or a box of chocolates. Equestrian Center A couple of miles from La Scuola di Furio there is a well equipped Equestrian Center. At ASD Equilis, English-speaking Gaia is waiting to give amateur riders lessons or take more expert riders for a ride in company. In July and August early morning or late afternoon (at sunset!) walks are also possible! Beauty and Massages Can you think about something more relaxing than a poolside massage performed by a professional beautician? That is a difficult one! And if, in the stress of the preparations, you didn’t have time to undergo some treatments, you can have it/them in the privacy of your home.
